The website of the Philippine Information Agency got defaced Sunday.
The defaced site showed a Chinese flag and played a hip-hong song while a user was viewing it.
As of this writing, the defaced site has been taken down. But the government website is inaccessible.
The defaced site is indicated that it was cracked by “7z1.”

ewww, I wonder how it got hacked!?!
anyways, we have started a discussion about hackers and how to protect your self against them
:)
it's on Tmup2dates:D
ahmm..i think that the security of their website is not good..that's why its easy to be hacked by the hackers..
Though our country has poor quality of computer security It won't be illegally accessed if it is not intentionally made..
It is not right to make such an out of respect move..right?? It's already below the belt..

I think that the that security of that government agency is not secured because it is been hacked.
But my question is, who hacked the websites?
It is the Chinese people?
Maybe because they have a reason to do that. After the hostage crisis, the Chinese people hated as Filipino because of the death of their fellowmen.
Maybe the Filipino can also do that hacking because he are only trying how secure the website.

Our country is in the path of crisis.
The attention of our government is in the hostage taking and the hackers grab the change to hacked our government website. We all know that our security is to poor so it is easy for the hackers to hacked it
It might be the way of others to expressed there thoughts in the hostage taking .
Our government should improve our security program.

i understand chresniel what you've said. but what they did in our government security was not a good idea to say to us that they are mad about what happened in that hostage crisis, because hacking a government website illegal especially this is a nation wide website used by our government for the benefit of the country.

...we all know that the hostage crisis happened last august 2010 had brought different bad effects to our country and one of this, was the hacking done by those bad hackers due to their anger to the Philippines..but do you think this was a good way of expressing their feelings to us Filipinos? This only shows disrespect, and immoral acts because they were doing illegal crimes like this.I hope our Phil. AGENCY here in our country would provide immediate actions and move regarding this issue...
.^_-jasmin-
maybe they hacked their website because the security of the philippine information agency is not secured and maybe they want revenge to us because of what happened last month of august.
wa eot a gid ay..haha joke.
.^^.
Hmm, i think it's just their revenge but it's too personal. The website has nothing to do with them but they use the hacking tactic just to make revenge to us.
--rovelyn :p
hmm maybe, they want to revenge to the agency of the philippines thats why they hacked it..and maybe the website of the philippine information agency is not totally secured..
-gay ann-
...maybe,the reason why they hacked the website is they want to revenge of what happened.(hostage crisis)
pearl
.. maybe they hacked the website because of the computer security is not good.. and it is connected also of being what happened last aug.23..
_ jeremiah retolado..^^,
Hacking is a major problem of our society nowadays. It's really hard to accept that modern technologies which make our works easier and faster could make us down.
About that certain issue,I think the hackers hacked their website because of irresponsibility of the users.Don't be affected on my statement because I'm only saying my opinion.I do hope that next time you will be aware and think advance about the bad effects of your carelessness.
Aug.23, 2010 is one of the most memorable events in Filipino lives. We all know that the incident is an isolated event so they don't have the right to revenge us in that way. Maybe the security system of that website is not secured.
